Nimble Axe

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026. Written to explain our approach in plain terms; it is not legal advice.

The short version: Nimble Axe is free, needs no account, and keeps your scores on your own device. The only personal details we ever see are the ones you volunteer through a form. We've built this policy around Canadian expectations such as PIPEDA-style meaningful consent, but it isn't a promise of legal compliance.

What this covers

Nimble Axe ("we," "us," or "our") is a free, browser-based classic-games site aimed at a general Canadian audience. We try to gather as little as possible. Below is what actually happens when you drop by and play or send us a note.

What we handle

Scores on your device

Each game keeps its best result in localStorage — a plain number such as a score or a win count, tied only to this browser on this device. It is never uploaded or shared. Clear it whenever you want with the "Clear My Local Records" button on the home page or the Cookie page.

Cookies and storage

We lean on local storage rather than tracking cookies. The strictly necessary bits keep the games running and remember your choices; the optional Preferences and Analytics categories are off until you switch them on, and no external analytics load today. The Cookie Policy lays out the controls.

If you use a form

Our forms ask for the minimum. The marketing box starts unchecked and is never rolled into accepting our terms. Submissions are handed to your email app rather than posted to a database, so the only copy of your message is the one in your own Sent folder and the one in our inbox.

We aim to follow PIPEDA-style meaningful-consent ideas: clear language, optional categories off by default, and easy changes. Playing never requires you to hand over personal details or accept optional cookies. To change your mind later, open , reject optional cookies, or use "Clear Privacy Choices."

Seeing, fixing, or deleting data

Where the law provides, you can ask to see, correct, or delete personal information you've sent us, and withdraw consent. Use the request form on the Contact page or email [email protected]. Because your game records sit in your own browser, you can erase those yourself in a click.

Outside services

The site is plain local files — no embedded third-party games, iframes, tracking pixels, or analytics. Once you deploy it, your host and anything you add later (a form backend, analytics, and so on) become third parties; list them here first.

How long we keep things

Local records and choices stay on your device until you clear them or your browser does. For anything a future backend receives, keep it only as long as the purpose needs and state that period here.

Younger players

Nimble Axe is a general-audience site, not aimed at children. We don't build profiles, ask for birthdates, or knowingly collect personal information from kids. Guardians can read the Parent / Guardian Info page and clear local data on any device.

Keeping data safe

We apply sensible, general safeguards suited to a static site. No system is perfectly secure. If you add a backend, encrypt data in transit, store as little as possible, and revise this section to match.

Playing from abroad

The site is meant for a Canadian audience. If you visit from elsewhere, note that anything a future backend receives could be processed in Canada or wherever our providers operate.

Updates

This policy may change now and then. We'll move the "Last updated" date when it does, and continued use afterward means you accept the revision.
